stella artois: chalice symphony
stella artois wanted to celebrate the craft that's gone into their chalice. so, we asked ourselves if an object that looks beautiful could also sound beautiful.
the result was the chalice symphony: four unique instruments highlighting different elements of the chalice, created by andy cavatorta, an MIT grad known for the instruments he's made for björk. we showcased the instruments on the bowery and invited cold war kids to record an original song, shoot a music video, and put on live performances. finally, we made the library of symphony sounds available online for anyone to compose with.
THE CHALICE SYMPHONY

it took surprisingly little to persuade hundreds of icelanders and spaniards to get naked and help us tell the story of all the things skin does for you. ivan zacharias shot the film. giles revell shot the print and outdoor.
